Immerse yourself in the sensory experience offered by Cabernet Sauvignon IGT Marca Trevigiana, the fruit of the passion and craftsmanship of Cantina Barbaran. Grown on the charming Podere San Giuseppe in Zenson di Piave, Treviso, this wine reveals the quintessence of the terroir thanks to a terroir rich in history and tradition.
The vineyard, entirely dedicated to the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety, is distinguished by medium clay soils and a Sylvoz training method, with a planting density of 2,400 vines per hectare. The harvest, handcrafted between September and October, guarantees grapes of the highest quality.
Barbaran Winery’s winemaking and aging.
In the winery, the winemaking process follows crushing and destemming, followed by fermentation in steel vessels in the presence of the skins at a controlled temperature. This artisanal approach, combined with selected yeasts, gives the wine a unique and complex structure. After racking, the wine matures for 3-4 months on its lees, gaining depth and character.
Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting
Tasting reveals a unique wine, the result of crosses between the Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon white grape varieties. It is recommended that the wine be served at a temperature of 16-18°C and poured into a wide Bordeaux goblet to allow proper oxygenation. Full-bodied, round and harmonious in taste, with hints of raspberry and slightly herbaceous.
Recommended pairings:
Barbaran Cabernet Sauvignon is the ideal companion for refined dishes. Perfect with aged cheeses, white and red meats, and also excellent when paired with delicacies such as truffles. It is a wine that stands up well to a period of aging.
